Home Consuming the City 2016 Documentary

Documentary

Food and its consumption have always had an impact on the city’s physical environment: the storage of food in the city, the markets where food is sold, and the location of restaurants in the city. The documentary ‘FOODSTRUCTION: The role of food consumption in urban development’ researches this relation between food and the city. Reflecting on Amsterdam’s food history but also investigating current food trends such as the rise of indoor food markets.

FOODSTRUCTION premiered on June 6, 2016 at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam.
