Jolien Groot and Lukas Franta

Jolien Groot (Msc) is a lecturer in Social Geography and Urban Planning at the University of Amsterdam. Particularly interested in the social and creative entrepreneurship and the development of startup-ecosystems in cities around the world, she has done research on coworking spaces and the importance of social capital in Amsterdam and New York City. Lukas Franta (Msc) studied Urban Planning in Vienna and Urban Studies at the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on geographies of protest and on cycling cultures and cycling policies of cities.
