Strong sense of justice, the way she was brought up and a few situations encountered throughout her life have sparked Zuzana’s intellectual curiosity for food regime. Convinced that food has become a primary embodiment of socio-economic inequality and segregation, she has all the (good) reasons to scrutinize if local food systems, and more specifically, urban food strategies, provide an enabling environment for building a sustainable food system. She kicked off her passion driven research with her Master thesis where she applies socially focused perspective on Amsterdam’s food initiatives. Currently completing her Master’s degree in Public Policy and Governance at the University of Amsterdam, Zuzana is looking forward to fight inequality through food using lenses of a researcher, civil servant and gourmand.
